Chennai: Plea for protection in opening of Amma-Ani office

Chennai: The Madras high court has dismissed a petition, which sought police protection for opening the party office of Amma-Ani in the presence of party founder Dhivaharan, brother of Sasikala, at Royapuram.

Justice N. Anand Venkatesh dismissed the petition filed by advocate K.R. Selvaraj Kumar, which sought a direction to the inspector of police, Kasimedu police station,  to provide police protection for opening their party office.

In his petition, Selvaraj Kumar submitted that he owns a property at A.J. Colony in Royapuram. He has been using the property for his office and residence. Based on the request made by the members of Amma-Ani party, they decided to open a party office at this place in the meeting held on September 14, 2018, in the presence of their party founder in the course of his activities, he used to take steps within the four corners of law against the ruling AIADMK party.
