K Surendran gets bail in one more case
The pending case is that Mr Surendran along with others conspired to create violence at Sabarimala on the occasion of Chithira Atta Vilaku.
Kannur: BJP state general secretary K. Surendran was granted bail by Kannur Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on Monday in a case of abusing a police officer through the Facebook. But he cannot walk free as there is a case pending against him related to the violence at Sabarimala.
Mr Surendran had alle-gedly abused a police officer who interrogated RSS worker Subheesh in the murder case of Popular Front of India activist Fasal of Thalassery.
The pending case is that Mr Surendran along with others conspired to create violence at Sabarimala on the occasion of Chithira Atta Vilaku. Mr Surend-ran has filed a bail petition for this at Pathana-mthitta sessions court which will be considered on Tuesday. Earlier, his bail petition was dismissed by Ranni Judicial First Class Magistrate Court.
Mr Surendran told reporters here that the state government was conspiring to allow young women reach Sabarimala after framing false char-ges on BJP leaders. “The LDF government and the CPM are taking revenge for their defeat before the BJP at Sabarimala. The police are taking me across the state in the name of petty cases,” he alleged. He also accused the police of gross human rights violation.
