Thiruvananthapuram: Police brass to be changed
Telecommunication SP H. Manjunath and special cell SP V. Ajith will be police controllers at Nilakkal.
Thiruvananthapuram: IG (Headquarters) Dinendra Kashyap will be in charge of Sabarimala Sannidhanam and Pampa and IG (Intelligence) Ashok Yadav will be in charge of Nilakkal, Vad-asserikkara and Erumeli during the second phase of police deployment for Sabarimala from November 30 to December 14.
IG Thiruvananthapur-am-range Manoj Abraham will continue to be joint chief coordinator. Wayanad district police chief Karuppa Swami and Vigilance special investigation unit-I SP K.E. Baiju will be police controllers at Sannidh-anam. Kozhikode city police commissioner Kal-iraj Mahesh Kumar and Thrissur rural district police chief M.K. Pushk-aran will be controllers at Pampa.
Telecommunication SP H. Manjunath and special cell SP V. Ajith will be police controllers at Nilakkal. Kerala Police Academy assistant director K.K. Aji will be the police controller at Marakkoottam, KAP-I commandant P.V. Wilson at Vadaserikkara and NRI Cell SP V.G. Vinod Kumar at Erumeli.
Sources said that the removal of Yateesh Chandra and Harishankar from charges of Nilakkal and Pamba had no connections with the controversies during the Sabarimala darshan of Union Minister of State Pon Radahakrishnan. Earlier itself, the police deployment for the Makaravilakku season was decided in four phases.
