Raise voice against violence: TLSA to women

Ninamabad: District judge and chairperson of Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TLSA) Sunita Kunchala called upon the women to raise their voices against violence and harassment by sharing their plight with their family members and well-wishers to get justice.

Speaking at a programme conducted on the occasion of the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women held at the district complex here on Saturday, she stated that despite the utmost care and measures, cases of violence against women and girls were continuing.
District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Sneha Society for Rural Reconstruction jointly conducted the programme. Sunita Kunchala said that women and girls must report harassment, violence and sexual abuse to cyber crime cell by dialling 1930.
The Judge appreciated Sakhi Centre for extending a helping hand to the destitute women. Family court judge Asha Latha, ACP Kiran Kumar, Professor Triveni, district welfare officer Rasul Bee, Sneha society secretary S. Siddaiah and others took part in the programme where students performed cultural programmes.
