Telangana government gets a week on ordinance

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Monday granted the government a week to spell out its stand on a petition which challenged an ordinance that transferred cases pertaining to service matters of Telangana state government employees from the AP Administrative Tribunal to the High Court.

A division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranga-nathan and Justice A. Shankar Narayana was dealing with a petition by Ms G. Jayashree, a contact lecturer, challenging Ordinance No 5/2016 issued on September 29.
