Virudhunagar: V. Ponraj, an associate of the late President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, announced on Saturday that he will be entering politics to bring in “positive transformation” in Tamil Nadu.
Announcing this at a gathering of 2,000 youth at his native village Thonugal near here, he said he would release the party’s name and its flag at Kalam’s Memorial at Pei Karumbu in Rameswaram on Sunday.
Justifying his entry into politics, he said youngsters want him to fulfil the vision of Kalam through promoting quality education and industrial development.
Youth were frustrated with the present political scenario in the state such as increasing corruption, maladministration and unemployment, he said.
