Hyderabad: There is forecast for light rain for most parts of the Telangana state on Tuesday night due to the depression that has formed in the Bay of Bengal. Officials added there is also a possibility of thundershowers and hailstorms due to the fluctuations in the temperature, but not over large areas.

The weather department said temperatures will not rise any higher for the next three to four days even as the city continues to record 40 degrees in many places.

According to a senior weather official, “It will be mostly dry and warm during the day. The temperatures will reach 40 degrees every day but will not go a further than that. The wind movement will be light. There will be light rains in isolated places. Humidity would increase at night.”

About the possibility of heavy showers and hail, a weather officer explained, “In certain parts of the state, very high temperatures have created an instability and there could be thundershowers. But it is not in large regions or across vast areas of the state. It’s in bits and parts. No such instabilities were noted across the weekend but there is a possibility they may occur in the next two days.”
