Hyderabad: Rs 2.84 crore of unaccounted cash seized
Police said, during the vehicle checking at a check post in the Dilsukhnagar area, an auto that was being driven by one Narasimha was stopped.
Hyderabad: In less than 12 hours, the Rachakonda police caught Rs 2.84 crore of unaccounted cash belonging to a city-based businessman. The cash was caught on Tuesday night and on Wednesday morning, has been handed over to the IT department.
Police said, during the vehicle checking at a check post in the Dilsukhnagar area, an auto that was being driven by one Narasimha was stopped. The passenger, who was identified as Sandeep, had a bag. Upon inspection, the police discovered a large amount of cash, for which Sandeep failed to produce required documents and the cash was seized.
Meanwhile, Begum Bazaar police seized Rs 14.69 lakh in cash and 28.6 tulas gold and jewelry during vehicle checking at Alaska Junction and Old PS Begum Bazaar on Wednesday. The cops seized the money and gold from four different persons.
