Jaganmohan Reddy will be next CM, says Kadapa mayor
Suresh alleged that the Telugu Desam government failed in DWCRA Groups and farmers’ loan waiver.
Kadapa: Kadapa mayor and YSRC district president Kotta-maddi Suresh Babu said that YSRC chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy will soon take oath as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. People of the state, particularly voters in Kadapa, must feel happy, he said.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle on Wednesday at his office, Suresh Babu said that YSRC will win all the 10 Assembly constituencies and Kadapa and Rajampeta Parliam-ent segments. He was talking about Jammala-madugu and Badvel constituencies where YSRC elected Adinarayana Reddy and Jayaramulu joined in TD.
Former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had made tremendous development in both the segments. Hence, the voters are feeling that they are YSR family members. Long ago, the supremos of Jammalamadugu came from Devagudi and Gundlakunta villages families. When Y.S. Raja-sekhar Reddy formed the government in 2004, the fate of constituency was fully changed, he said.
“Avuku reservoir and tunnel, Gandikota tunn-el, Brahmani steel plant, Dalmia Cements etc. were the major developments in Jammalamadu-gu. When the TD government was formed, till 2014 all development has stopped. YSRC’s elected MLA Adinarayana Red-dy joined TD, the party had assigned the in-charge duties to Doctor Sudheer Reddy, who was an ortho specialist, having very good contacts with poor,” Mr Suresh said.
The two Opposition leaders in Jammalama-dugu are now on one route, but they may not work for public at any time, alleged. “YSRC is having very good reputation among the voters and is going to win. SC reserved Badvel constituency is also to be bagged by YSRC,” he said confidently.
“Badvel segment is an area hit by drought, where Brahmasagar was built by Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and he was given 13 tmc.ft water from Srisailam Reservoir,” Mr Suresh said.
YSRC elected MLA Jayaramulu has joined hands with TD. Ex-MLA Govinda Reddy has taken up the responsibility of this segment. He had proposed Doctor Venkata Subbaiah as the candidate for this election.
“We must win both the constituencies,” he said. Along with these two, remaining all Assembly seats and two Parliament seats are to be bagged by us,” he reminded.
Suresh alleged that the government failed in aspects such as DWCRA Groups and farmers’ loan waiver.
The government announced ‘Dulhan’ for the poor in Muslim families but most of the eligible beneficiaries did not get it, he alleged. The people have very much trust on Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Navarat-nas as the schemes may lighten their life.
The people are positively responding to ‘Kavali Jagan—Ravali Jagan’ programme.
Within a short span, the YSRC may turn into ruling party, Suresh said.
