Modi, Nawaz Sharif might meet soon

Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is engaged in secret talks with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, media reports here said on Thursday.

Pakistani television channels reports that an Indian delegation led by industrialist Sajjan Jindal called on Prime Minister Sharif this week and flew back to India.

“The Indian delegation conveyed the message of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to PM Sharif,” said a Pakistani television channel.

The three-member delegation went to Murree where they had lunch with Nawaz Sharif, Dunya News reported.

The secret meeting comes as efforts are being made to pave the way for a meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), an emerging economic and security alliance this year.
