Telangana: This year too, girls outshine boys in SSC
The overall pass percentage is 83.78 percent.
Hyderabad: More than 5.83 lakh students had appeared for the SSC examination in Telangana this year. 5.34 lakh students have qualified in the SSC exams. The overall pass percentage is 83.78 percent. Girls have outperformed boys with 85.14 pass percentage where as the pass percentage for boys is 82.46.
The overall pass percentage has been decreased this year with a slight decrease of 0.37 per cent this year. In 2017, the pass percentage for SSC was 84.15 per cent where as this year it's 83.78 percent.
Out of 5,34,726 candidates, 5,01,732 regular candidates and 32,994 private candidates have appeared for SSC examinations. Among the regular candidates, boys secured 82.46 percentage where as girls secured 85.14 percent.
Among the private candidates, boys secured 30.62 pass percentage where as girls secured 36.55 ass per cent. Among the regular candidates, 2,125 schools secured 100 per cent pass percentage where as 21 schools secured 0 pass per cent. Among all the districts, Jagitial secured highest pass percentage with 97.56 percent and Adilabad district secured lowest percentage with 51.94 percent.
TS SSC exams commenced from March 15 and concluded on April 2, 2018 at around 2,500 centres.
The exams were three hours long and were held between 9:30 am to 12.45 pm. The supplementary examinations are scheduled from June 6 to June 9, 2018 from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm. The last date of remittance of examination fee is May 21.
