Modi extends best wishes to Sharif for his heart surgery
Sharif will undergo an open-heart surgery on Tuesday, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif had said yesterday.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended best wishes to his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif for his open-heart surgery to be held in UK next Tuesday.
"My best wishes to PM Nawaz Sharif Sahab for his open heart surgery on Tuesday. And for his speedy recovery & good health," Modi tweeted.

Sharif will undergo an open-heart surgery on Tuesday, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif had said yesterday. Asif, also a confidante of 66-year-old Sharif, had said doctors have advised the prime minister to undergo an open-heart surgery, following which he will be staying in the hospital for a week.
"The Prime Minister will travel after one week, on doctor's permission," he added.
Sharif's daughter, Maryam Nawaz had confirmed on Twitter that her father will undergo an open-heart surgery on Tuesday.
