Bengaluru: In a bid to save the government, the JD(S)-Congress coalition has reportedly decided to mount a counter-offensive against the BJP's ‘Operation Lotus'  and lure some of its leaders to their fold by offering them Cabinet berths and positions in boards and corporations.

Four new faces are likely to make it to the cabinet on Wednesday as part of efforts by Congress and JD(S) leaders to nip dissidence in the bud and thwart Operation Kamala, post the rout in Lok Sabha elections. On the list are disgruntled legislators: Former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi: R. Shankar, a Kuruba, an independent, Nagesh, independent MLA from Mulbagal, and Nagendra, a Nayaka leader.
