Hyderabad: 5 held for possessing daggers
They were possessing daggers and knives to threaten their enemies.
Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Special Operations Team caught five persons for allegedly possessing daggers and knives on Wednesday. The police recovered 14 daggers from them.
The accused were identified as Adil Barak Baa, 22, Mirza Jaffar Baig alias Saddam, 25, Mohd. Arif, 22, Syed Ismail alias Shahrukh, 20, and Mohd Shabeer, 23. Habeeb Salam alias Salem, 28, is absconding.
According to the police, the accused revealed that, Adil purchased the knives from Gulbarga of Karnataka for Rs 600 to Rs 1,000 and sold them to his gang members for Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500. They were possessing daggers and knives to threaten their enemies.
Adil Barak Baa is a resident of Venkatapur village and is the son of Ali Barak Baa who was involved in the sensational snake gang case in Pahadi Shareef police station. The raids were conducted Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Special Operations Team Syed Rafeeq and his team.
