K Chandrasekhar Rao to axe leaders suspected of links with Nayeem
Allegations are that a few ruling party leaders colluded with Nayeem and are suspected of abetting his crimes.
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is learnt to have decided to axe a few politicians, especially some from Nalgonda district, against whom allegations have cropped up during the ongoing SIT probe into gangster Nayeem’s criminal acts. Allegations are that a few ruling party leaders colluded with Nayeem and are suspected of abetting his crimes. Among those names being heard, the most prominent is that of an MLC who is at present occupying a honourable post in the Legislative Council. The CM is also particular about taking action against a few police officials, three of them IPS cadre.
According to a source close to the CM, Mr Rao may ask the politicos to resign in the next few days. It is learnt that the CM was told that some Congress leaders used Nayeem to kill a few of renegade naxals involved in assassination of a legislator from Mahbubnagar.
