Naidu to lead Deeksha tomorrow on AP issues
RTC buses, cars and vehicles to mobilise 2L attendees.
Rajahmundry: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will stage Dharma Porata Deeksha in West Godavari on September 29 where nearly nearly two lakh people from 15 Assembly segments at Tadepalligudem would be ateending the event.
Minister for civil supplies and West Godavari in-charge Prathipati Pulla Rao told newsmen at Tadepalligudem on Thursday that as the BJP-led NDA regime under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi reneged on its commitment to implement provisions of AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, and also failed to fulfil the assurances given on the floor of Rajya Sabha by the then Congress-led UPA regime, the residuary state of AP had to suffer a lot of hardships. The Chief Minister would bring about awareness among people on how the state was being subjected to injustice by the Centre.
Explaining about the arrangements being made for the programme, the minister said that nearly 2,000 RTC buses, 2,000 cars and 6,000 other vehicles would be deployed to mobilise about two lakh people from 15 Assembly segments in the district to the venue at Tadepallligudem for attending the meeting.
He said that six committees have been set up to oversee the arrangements ranging from providing hospitality to the guests and visitors to supply of drinking water, food, parking space of vehicles and for making other arrangements. He said that nearly 140 leaders could be accommodated to sit on the dais at the meeting.
West Godavari SP M. Ravi Prakash and district in-charge collector M. Venugopal Reddy inspected the arrangements.
