Visakhapatnam: The Kotharevu-Polavaram Secretariat in Anakapalle district has been closed for the past 10 days, causing inconvenience to the residents of Revupolavaram and New Revupolavaram.

When questioned, the village revenue officer (VRO) said he was busy with land survey work, while the panchayat secretary said he was serving his leaders. The digital assistant, welfare assistant, horticulture assistant, veterinary assistant, and sericulture assistant posts are vacant, and the Secretariat is being run out of a Rythu Bharosa Kendram.

Even though the Secretariat has been closed for so many days, officials are least bothered about the problems of the people.

Residents of the area say that they are facing many difficulties due to the closure of the Secretariat. They have to travel to Anakapalle town to get their work done, which is a costly and time-consuming affair.
