Hyderabad: The Congress welcomed the Telangana High Court judgment on Wednesday directing the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) to hold the Group-1 examinations again and upheld the single bench order
given last week cancelling the Group-I exam.

The Congress demanded the abolition of TSPSC Board for failing to
conduct the exam in a fool-proof manner. It alleged that the BRS
government miserably failed in conducting TSPSC exams properly as the
Group-1 exam was cancelled twice due to leakage of question papers
earlier and now due to failure to implement biometric attendance
system leading to cancellation of exam by High Court.

Congress leader and NSUI president Balmuri Venkat said that the BRS
government was playing with the lives of students and unemployed by
resorting to irregularities in conduct of recruitment exams.

"About a dozen incident of question paper leakages were witnessed
during BRS regime. The exams were cancelled and held afresh. This
resulted in several candidates losing opportunity to appear for exams
due to upper age limit. Congress demands state government to relax
upper age limit whenever exams are held afresh due to irregularities.
The government should also compensate candidates for cancelling
exams," Venkat said.
