Liquor shops to remain closed

Hyderabad: In view of Ganesh immersion, wine and toddy-shops and bars will remain closed from 6 am on Thursday till 6 pm on Friday across all three police commissionerates.

In a notification issued by the heads of the commissionerates here on Wednesday, as per the TS Excise Act 1968, wine and toddy shops, bars including bars attached to restaurants (excluding bars in star hotels) and registered clubs in three of  the commissionerates will be kept closed till the final immersion, a press release stated.
