Preparations Complete for Khairatabad Ganesh Immersion
Hyderabad: All arrangements have been made for the immersion of the tallest Ganesha idol in Hyderabad. The immersion procession of the 63-foot-tall idol, weighing 50 tons, has already started on Thursday early morning after special poojas. Drums, decorated vehicles, and hundreds of devotees mark the procession.
The Bhagyanagara Utsava Committee member Bhagwanth Rao said that all arrangements have been made for the immersion. Two special chariots have been brought from Vijayawada for the immersion. The main Ganesh idol will be installed on one chariot and the remaining idols will be on the other chariot. "We have meticulously planned and organized the event to ensure the safety and participation of all devotees," he said.
Rao also added that the Ganesha will be immersed between 01:00 to 02:00 p.m. Last year, the Ganesha was immersed at 06:30 PM. The arrangements, including traffic diversions and security measures, are in place to make the immersion process smooth and secure, he added.
