Hyderabad: Aradhana Samdariya's kin move National Commission for Minorities

The police had booked Aradhana's parents for culpable homicide for allegedly forcing her to fast for 68 days.

Hyderabad: Family members of Aradhana Samdariya, who had died after a 68-day fast, approached the National Commission for Minorities seeking protection.

Mr Praveen Davar, member National Commission for Minorities directed Director-General of Police Anurag Sharma to consider the request of national president of Jain Communities Lalith Gandhi to provide security to the family of Aradhana.

“Instructions may be passed for taking necessary action against the elements who illegally use unparliamentary and foul language against Jain religion.’ the letter said.

The police had booked Aradhana’s parents for culpable homicide for allegedly forcing her to fast for 68 days.
