Hyderabad: Class X student Suresh Kumar of Rajdhani High School, who suffered a blood clot after being beaten by his teacher on Wednesday, underwent a second surgery on Thursday.

A doctor at Mallareddy Narayana Hospital said Suresh was still on ventilator and would recover. Dr Siddappa Gowrav, chief medical superintendent, said the clot was not because of an external injury but the result of an abnormality.
