Telangana: Eight organs of 2 persons donated

Hyderabad: The families of two persons who had been declared brain-dead donated a total of eight organs to the state-run Jeevandan scheme on Thursday.

Ms Radhamma, the wife of Boya Pullaiah of Atmakur mandal in Kurnool district donated his two kidneys and liver. He was suffering from a brain tumour and was declared brain dead while undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital.

Ms A. Padma, the wife of A. Satyanarayana, 55, donated his two kidneys, eyes and liver after he was declared brain dead. Satyanarayana had suffered a head injury in an accident at Begumpet on October 24.
