Telangana exempts coal mining projects from study

In this 335.22 acres are government and assigned lands, 40.05 acres are patta lands.

Hyderabad: The state government has exempted from its Social Impact Assessment (SIA) study for land acquisition required for coal mining projects to meet the coal requirement of Kakatiya thermal power plant. 

The state government said that in the in the interest of the public the exemption was given for the Tadicherla captive coal block -1 including belt conveyer corridor. In this 335.22 acres are government and assigned lands, 40.05 acres are patta lands. This state government issued orders to this effect recently.
