A video clip released by Rahul Easwar on Thursday has Hadiya saying she wanted to escape from home as soon as possible.

SALEM: As Hadiya prepares to resume her studies at the Sivaraj Homeopathy College here, the institution on Monday said it would welcome her warmly and ensure that she completes her five-and-a-half year course without hitch. Hadiya, who was Akhila when joined the college, was forced to discontinue her studies after a massive row erupted over her conversion to Islam with Hindu groups alleging that she was lured by Shafin Jahan for conversion as part of ‘Love-Jihad’.

She discontinued her BHMS in 2015 and will now resume her housesurgeonship in the same institution following the Supreme Court order. “The college administration will ensure that Hadiya stays in the hostel and completes her course without any hitch,” Dr G. Kannan, principal of the Sivaraj Homeopathy College, told Deccan Chronicle. He said Hadiya had completed the four-and-half-year theoretical part of the course before she left the college in 2015 without attending the one-year practical part of the course, for personal reasons.

“Now that the Supreme Court has directed that Hadiya complete her course, we will comply with the order as we always ensure that students who drop out midway and return, complete the course,” Dr Kannan said. Since the order came only on Monday, the institution was not aware of Hadiya’s plans on when she intends to resume her course.
