Kochi: Migrant workers held for attempted murder

Kochi: Thoppumpady police on Tuesday arrested two migrant workers on charges of attacking an Assam native and attempting to murder him. The arrested were identified as Ashique and Sanj Lama, both natives of Assam.

The case pertains to a clash which took place at a workplace at Fisheries Harbour on Sunday when the duo attacked the victim with an iron stick following a verbal spat.

Police said the duo was absconding after the incident. A police team led by Thoppumpady sub-inspector Binu C. arrested the accused.
