Kozhikode: The crime branch of the police on Tuesday arrested two RSS workers in connection with the attack on CPM district committee office.

The cops who interrogated Kozhikode district RSS head N.P. Roopesh and Nadappuram native Shijil for three hours said they had admitted to bombing the rival office.  The cops, who also interrogated four others, said the CPM district secretary P. Mohanan had identified them.

The attack was just a few minutes before he entered the office.

The CPM activists had alleged that the BJP and the RSS workers were behind the attack.

The case was handed over to the crime branch after the local police could not trace the culprits. At the same time, the CPM said it was a five-member gang that attacked their office, and it had passed the information to the police.
