New Delhi: Alleging "serious" corruption charges against the AAP dispensation in Delhi, Congress on Sunday sought Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's response within 24 hours and threatened to launch an agitation on the issue.

"There are two serious cases. One, a very close relative of Kejriwal got a PWD contract in the name of different companies on the basis of forged and fake documents and in another case also, a close relative of the chief minister became OSD to the Delhi Health Minister violating all norms and CVC guidelines," Congress Spokesperson Ajay Maken said here.

He said while the PWD case is being investigated by the economic offence wing of Delhi Police, the second case is being investigated by the CBI.

"We demand the investigation should be expedited and brought to its logical conclusion and we give 24 hours to Kejriwal to respond on the above charges," Maken said.

Asked about the Congresss course of action after the deadline, he said we will go to the people and launch agitation against the corruption and nepotism practised by the AAP government.

Congress is engaged in a keenly fought battle against AAP and the Akali-BJP alliance in Punjab Assembly elections on February 4.

Targeting AAP, the Congress leader further said, "We will come out again tomorrow with more such cases against other ministers of the Delhi government."

Referring to Kejriwal's recent interview where he had said that Election Commission is promoting bribery and corruption, Maken said the AAP chief is out to demolish the constitutional body and institution which is not good for democracy.
