New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday posted for final hearing on July 19 a batch of three special leave petitions filed by Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala challenging the final award passed by the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal on February 5, 2007.

The Union Territory of Puducherry, also a party to the dispute, has not filed an SLP. The appeals which were admitted on May 7, 2007 by a Bench of Justices S.B. Sinha and Markandey Katju (both now retired) were then referred to a three-judge Bench for adjudication since important questions of law were involved.
