The entire complaint was a fabled fact and the same was concocted to the core.
Chennai: Former Vice Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University, who apprehended arrest in connection with a case registered against him for allegedly amassing huge wealth by corrupt and fraudulent manner, disproportionate to his known source of income, has filed a petition in the Madras high court, seeking anticipatory bail.
Denying all the allegations, P. Vanangamudi, former vice chancellor, in his petition submitted that he has been fixed by his rivals with an ulterior motive. The entire complaint was a fabled fact and the same was concocted to the core.
He said he has a track record of producing the best lawyers in the state and all over India. Having produced meritorious advocates, who have excelled not only academic but were doing justice to the legal profession throughout all spheres, the vice chancellor cannot be accused with such bald, vexatious, frivolous and vindictive allegations, which affect his moral conduct and his integrity. He was in service for 33 years without any blemish. In order to damage his reputation, a false complaint had been lodged at the instigation of his adversaries.
