Kavitha's counsel appears before ED

Hyderabad: Soma Bharat, Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s legal counsel, appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Wednesday in New Delhi after the investigation agency wrote to the BRS party MLC informing her that it would examine the mobile phones she had deposited.

The ED on Monday stated that it was verifying Kavitha’s call data and business activities in connection with the probe into money laundering in the Delhi liquor scam case, and asked Kavitha or her legal representative to appear before it on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the ED officials also questioned Kavitha’s auditor Gorantla Buchi Babu in connection with the liquor scam case.
