New Delhi: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Monday termed the disproportionate assets case against him and his wife as ‘political vendetta’.

Moments after the 82-year-old politician was granted bail by a special court, Singh said that it was going to be a long battle.

"It's a political vendetta. It's a long battle and I will fight and win the case," the Chief Minister said.

The Congress leader and his wife Pratibha Singh were granted bail by a special court in New Delhi in connection with a nearly Rs 10 crore disproportionate assets case on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh each and one surety of the same amount.

The court, however, asked them not to leave the country without its prior permission.
