All set for Jagan Mohan Reddy visit to Kadapa today

Later, he will return to Kadapa airport and fly to Amaravati in a special flight, the collector said.

Kadapa: Chief Minister designate Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will arrive in Kadapa district on May 29. District collector C. Harikiran directed the officials to ensure all arrangements were in place for the CM elect’s visit.

On Tuesday, the collector visited the Ameenpeer dargah to inspect the arrangements.

He was accompanied by Kadapa MLA Anjad Basha, and Kadapa Mayor Suresh Babu.

Addressing the media on the dargah premises, the collector said that after having darshan of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala, CM designate Mr Reddy will land in Kadapa airport by 10.30 am. From the airport, he will head to the Kadapa dargah and present a flower chadar to the mazars. He would then fly to Pulivendula in a chopper and pray at the CSI Church. Then he would head to Idupulapaya by a helicopter.

Later, he will return to Kadapa airport and fly to Amaravati in a special flight, the collector said.

The CM designate will be in Kadapa district from 11.30 am to 5 pm.

The collector appealed to the people’s representatives, officials and the public to make Mr Reddy’s tour to the district a grand success as he is visiting Kadapa for the first time after being elected as the Chief Minister.

Kurnool Range DIG Nagendra Kumar, Kadapa SP Abhishek Mohanti visited Pulivendula on Tuesday and inspected the arrangements in view of CM designate Jagan Mohan Reddy’s  tour to the district on Wednesday.

They inspected the helipad near the junior college and CSI Church.  They directed the local police officers to be on high alert during Mr Reddy’s visit. Pulivendula DSP Nagaraju was also present.
