Hyderabad: Hyderabad on Wednesday got one more state-of-the-art, stainless steel, open toilet at Mint Compound for free public use.

The first open steel urinal was donated by an NRI, Mr Sunil Hermon to GHMC and installed at Kala Bhavan, Lakdi-ka-pul.

The stainless steel urinal that costs around Rs 1.5 lakh each, is sturdy and requires minimum maintenance.

The whole unit, with two urinals, is a single piece with a concealed flush leaving no scope for vandalism.

With the flushing of the tank, the water flows into the soak pit thereby ensuring in situ disposal.

The two urinals have been placed at locations that have more footfalls.
