Develop skills, urges Minister for Labour and Excise
Lower employment rates among educated youngsters is one of the major challenges the state is facing, he said.
Kozhikode: Minister for Labour and Excise T.P Ramakrishnan has urged the youngsters to utilise the opportunities for skill development to scale great heights in career. He was addressing the candidates at the convocation ceremony for Promex course conducted by Incaetek Solutions with the support of Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence (KASE) here on Saturday.
Lower employment rates among educated youngsters is one of the major challenges the state is facing, he said. “The state government aims at providing opportunities to overcome this situation and achieving success in their respective fields,” he pointed out.
Engineering students have immense potential in areas like automobile, aerospace, automation, robotics, consumer electronics, transportation, defence and construction design, he said.
The employment portal and job fairs of the labour department provide better choices for job -seekers. KASE MD Sreeram Venkitaraman and INCAETEK solutions MD Gopikrishnan Thrivikraman among others attended the ceremony.
