Maharashtra: A 4-foot long crocodile was rescued from a drain near Chiplun city in Ratnagiri due to overflowing of Vahishti river.

The reptile was rescued by the forest department officials after it was spotted, as reported by Saamna Online.

In the video, the forest officials can be seen putting the crocodile into the cage.

It was later released into its natural habitat. It is not unknown for reptiles to show up during incessant rains.

Some regions of Maharashtra have been issued flood alert.
