Bengaluru: The Siddaramaiah cabinet decided on Monday to extend the facelift of the CBD to important avenues in Bengaluru’s Central Business District (CBD) under the Tendersure scheme.

While roads in CBD would be spruced up at a cost of Rs 105 crores,  several other streets in Bengaluru would get a white topping at a cost of Rs 292 crores as part of an image makeover package envisaged for the city, law minister T.B. Jayachandra said after the cabinet met. Critically, this will include Gandhinagar in the crowded, chaotic Majestic area and Kalasipalyam which is the main point of exit and entry for hundreds of buses that connect passengers on buses that ply inter-state as well as to neighbouring states.
