Rebuild Kerala' through music
All musicians will give away their remuneration for the Rebuild Kerala' mission.
Kannur: The Perinchellur Sangeetha Sabha, a platform of music lovers in the district, has joined hands with the state to mobilise funds for the ‘Rebuild Kerala’ initiative through music.
A music concert will be organised at Taliparamba on September 2, the profit of which will go to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.
A long list of eminent names in the music arena including Chennai P. Unnikrishnan will bless the music lovers in the evening.
Vijay Neelakandan of Perinchellur Sangeetha Sabha told DC that this is a way music lovers can contribute for the ‘Rebuild Kerala’ initiative.
All musicians will give away their remuneration for the ‘Rebuild Kerala’ mission, thus joining the initiative in their own way. “When a music lover enjoys the evening by buying a ticket, he is also contributing to the noble venture”, he added.
The Sangeetha Sabha has been in the limelight for organising the Perinchellur Music Fest, a festival of music lovers, organised in memory of late P. Neelakanda Iyer, a music lover and philanthropist. Started in 2016, the organisers through the event, aims at enabling music lovers to be part of rebuilding the state which has been devastated by floods.
