ADILABAD: The Congress, TD, CPI and Telangana Jana Samiti will first release their Common Minimum Programme (CMP) for the approval of the people and then focus on seats sharing.  The TD led by its state president L. Ramana is actively taking part in the discussion with the top leaders of the other parties in Grand Alliance. According to Mr Ramana, all parties are of the view that sharing of seats is not as important as ensuring the defeat of the TRS.

The Grand Alliance will release the final draft of the CMP after the top leaders of the alliance partners give their approval.  The immediate goal is to finalise the CMP as early as possible to counter the TRS, the Grand Alliance believes.
The parties in the alliance say that TRS is trying to sabotage the alliance by raising the issue of seat sharing and creating differences among them by making misleading statements.

TS TD state general secretary Gullapally Buchilingam, who is representing the party in the discussions, said they are flexible in seat sharing and are focusing on convincing the people with the CMP.  Mr Buchilingam expressed confidence that Grand Alliance will come to power and implement the people’s agenda and work for the development of the state.  Leaders of the TD, CPI, TJS and the participating in the discussions have decided to not to respond to the TRS leaders’ comments and maintain restrain, with the aim of strengthening the Grand Alliance.
