Workshop reviews Telangana forest
On the first day of the workshop, the officials have reviewed about the half yearly performance of the department.
Hyderabad: The Forest department of Telangana started a three-day workshop on Friday at the forest academy in Dulapally of Ranga Reddy district to discuss the future action plan of the department with all the field officers.
On the first day of the workshop, the officials have reviewed about the half yearly performance of the department. The forest department officials are planning to give a focused approach to the forestry management in the state by preparing an action plan for the next six months. Besides the mid-term review, it is also proposed to discuss certain issues which are required to be considered to improve the efficiency of the work culture in department.
On the second and third day of the workshop, the officials will discuss steps to consolidate the process of reorganisation of the department, keeping in view of present zonal system. The department will also discuss on the full operations of Telangana Forest Management Information System. Apart from those the discussions and planning will be done for improving the overall protection of the forests, standardisation of nursery practices and plantation techniques.
