Call of duty for 122 IPS cadets
The batch has 21 women probationers.
Hyderabad: Seventy-five engineers, three doctors and four law graduates are among the 122 probationary IPS cadets who will pass out of the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy at the Dikshant Parade on Monday.
The 69th batch of regular recruits has 21 women probationers and 14 from abroad — five each from Bhutan and Nepal and four from the Maldives.
Police academy director D.R. Doley Barman said the probationers were trained in various aspects of policy including various laws and practicals. “Forensic science medicine, criminology, investigation and law are part of the curriculum.
This apart, the cadets attended courses in police station management in districts to understand policing related functions,” she said.
The training is imparted both at the academy and off-campus locations across the country. Union home minister Rajnath Singh would be the chief guest at the passing out parade on Monday.
