Probe on into Kerala youngsters who joined ISIS

The Central intelligence wing has alerted the state police on the high number of people from Kannur who had joined ISIS.

Kannur: Police is probing the details of youngsters who have been missing from the district and those who travelled to Turkey, Iraq, Syria and Iran in the recent past. 

Sources said that the details available on the involvement of the youngsters from Kannur with the terror organisation ISIS are just the tip of the iceberg. 

The Central intelligence wing has alerted the state police on the high number of people from Kannur who had joined ISIS. The state police have  already intimated the NIA about the cases registered under UAPA. The NIA may take over the case as it has been already investigating many cases.
