No review of Jagan Reddy case order: Hyderabad HC
Making it clear that at this stage no orders can be passed, the Bench rejected the petitions.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad HC has refused to review or issue a clarification on an earlier order directing the CBI special court to expeditiously decide the illegal investment cases of YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
A division bench comprising Justice V. Ramasubramanian and Justice S.V. Bhatt was hearing applications moved by Rajya Sabha member V. Vijaya Sai Reddy on Monday, seeking a review, and certain clarifications on the earlier order. He is one of the accused in the illegal investments case.
The HC had passed the order on August 10, 2015 on a PIL by advocate Y. Vedavyas, directing the special court to decide the discharge applications in criminal cases expeditiously.
Informing the court that 11 charge sheets had been filed by the CBI before the trial court, Mr Vijaya Sai Reddy urged the court to direct the trial court to club all cases and commence trial.
He informed the court that in some cases other accused persons had got stays, and the trial court wanted to go ahead with framing charges in the remaining cases. Making it clear that at this stage no orders can be passed, the Bench rejected the petitions.
