Kozhikode: The action committee formed against the waste dumping from Rani Public School Chorode in Vadakara has urged the school authorities to implement the district collector's ruling in this regard.

According to the collector's order, the school management has to come with a permanent solution for waste disposal. Since many years local natives are on protest path against the dumping of waste  which affects their water bodies and environment.

“The waste from the school and from other establishments of the same management is being drained out to paddy field. It has polluted drinking water source of the local people," said Chorod gram panchayat member Jisha Panangad. Action committee member E.P Damodaran alleged that a few government officials at Vadakara is favouring the management. "We are at the brink of patience. If the Colle-ctor's order is not been executed, we would commence agitation," he warned.
