AISMK not to go with the BJP
To a question, Sarath Kumar said that his party would not ally with the BJP in the upcoming Parliament elections.
CHENNAI: All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi founder Sarath Kumar on Friday rejected the possibility of forging an alliance with the BJP in the ensuing Parliament elections. Addressing the media after calling on Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami at the secretariat, he replied to a volley of questions.
“I placed some demands including saving workers of crackers' industries, as their livelihood was largely affected due to restrictions in burs-ting crackers,” he said.
On plastic ban, Sarath Kumar said that even as he welcomed the ban on using plastic, there should be some breathing time for plastic manufacturers and government allow using plastic above 50 micron.
“I praised the government for having taken precautionary measures before cyclone Gaja battered the delta and central districts,” he said.
To a question, Sarath Kumar said that his party would not ally with the BJP in the upcoming Parliament elections. “At the same time, there should be no speculation that we will forge an alliance with the DMK or Congress,” he noted.
