Hyderabad: As a precautionary measure on New Year eve, which will be marked by massive celebrations, Rachakonda police have imposed certain traffic restrictions and guidelines.

The ORR will be kept closed for light motor and passenger vehicles from 11 pm on December 31 to 5 am on January 1.

However, bonafide passengers travelling to RGIA on light motor vehicles will be allowed to use the ORR subject to production of flight tickets.

The flyovers where this ruling is being applied include Nagole, Kamineni,  LB Nagar and Bairamalguda and the underpasses at LB nagar and Chinthalkunta.

Meanwhile, any bar, pub and club, which, knowingly or unwittingly, allows their customers to drive under the influence of alcohol after consuming them in their premises, will be strictly dealt with and prosecuted.

The management should make alternative arrangements for such customers, a release said here on Thursday.
