Chennai: AIADMK general secretary, J. Jayalalithaa, on Friday directed party functionaries to carry out booth level meetings and instructed cadres to help youngsters who are above 18 years to enroll themselves in the voters list and identify mistakes in the voter rolls by conducting door-to-door visits.

“The party should taste a historic victory in the coming Assembly elections in all 234 constituencies and I am confident about this. I want all the cadres to take up poll work at micro level and two special camps are to be conducted by the election officials for correction and inclusion of voters. The cadres should help the public during the camps,” she said in a statement.

The AIADMK government has implemented several welfare schemes aimed at uplifting the public in the last five years. Elections are approaching. Cadres should be like studious students awaiting examinations, she said.

Pointing out that she strongly believed that the election results would be a new milestone in the history of ruling AIADMK, she said she would be in regular touch with the party and provide necessary directions for poll victory.

“I will guide the party and the cadres should be ready with dedication, so that our victory in the Assembly polls should be higher than those recorded in all the previous polls.”
