Student donates Rs 1 lakh for Amaravati
Impressed by the young one's gesture in helping to see the new capital being constructed.
Vijayawada: A girl studying in Class IX, A. Vyshnavi, has been made the brand ambassador of Amaravati after she and her parents met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday and donated Rs 1 lakh for construction of the new capital.
Impressed by the young one’s gesture in helping to see the new capital being constructed, Mr Naidu said she would be made brand ambassador of Amaravati. He opined that such acts will inspire others to come forward and support the government and also make them owners of the state government’s project of building a people’s capital.
Vyshnavi, belonging to Mudinepalli in Krishna district, also informed Mr Naidu that she had adopted two government schools in her village and would be spending around Rs 4 lakh to spruce them up encourage children to go to school regularly without dropping out.
