YSRC YS Jagan Mohan Reddy chief finishes 1,000km of his yatra
Warm welcome as a third of planned route covered.
Nellore: The Praja Sankalapa Yatra undertaken by Leader of the Opposition Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy crossed a major milestone of 1,000 kilometres at Saidapuram in Venkatagiri constituency of SPSR Nellore district on Monday.
To mark the occasion, Jagan unveiled a 25-feet-tall pylon at Saidapuram where the YSRCP president and his party cadre received a tumultuous welcome from the residents on their arrival.
Party leaders called it a landmark event with Jagan successfully completing 1,000 of the scheduled 3,000 kilometers with active participation of people from all sections of society.
A large number of people,YSR Congress cadres and leaders joined Jagan when he resumed his walkathon on the 74th day of his Pada Yatra from Gudur on Monday.
The leaders and cadres are in an upbeat mood in view of the huge turnout for Jagan's public meeting at Gudur on Sunday night.
The YSRCP chief has so far toured YSR Kadapa, Anantapur, Chittoor and reached Nellore district. He has been patiently listening to the grievances of farmers, DWCRA women, RTC employees, students and teachers while reassuring them that the YSRCP government will redress their problems on priority basis.
It may be recalled that the Praja Sankalpa Yatra began on November 6 in Idupulapaya.
Nellore MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, Tirupati MP V. Varaprasada Rao, Sullurpeta legislator Kiliveti Sanjeevaiah, ZP Chairman B. Raghavendra Reddy and Sarveypalli legislator Kakani Govardhan Reddy were present among others.
