South Indian Bank ties up with TS to receive online payments
Hyderabad: The Telangana government has authorised South Indian Bank to collect online government receipts.
Residents of Telangana can now pay the fees, charges, taxes of Commercial Taxes, Meeseva, Meeseva RTA, Inspector of Factories, Boilers, Fire Department, Telangana Beverages Corporation, Drugs Control Administration, Roads & Buildings, Agriculture, Excise Department, Ayush, Panchayat Raj Engineering, Police Intelligence online using the SiberNet Internet Banking platform.
"The authorisation is an important development as it allows the common public to make payments to Cyber Treasury - the online treasury portal of the state through the Internet Banking platform of South Indian Bank - SIBerNet," the private lender said in a statement.
South Indian Bank had signed the agreement with Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts, Telangana State at DTA, Hyderabad.
Commenting on the development, Murali Ramakrishnan, managing director and CEO, South Indian Bank, said, “With this arrangement, South Indian Bank is among the six private sector banks empanelled by Telangana state to facilitate payments towards Cyber Treasury.
